1983 to 1985 Postgraduate studies in violin playing in Lucerne, Switzerland with Professor Rudolf Baumgartner and Maestro Gunars Larsens (Conductor and Concertmaster respectively of the Festival Strings of Lucerne). While I was in Switzerland I also played as a freelance musician with the Zürich Symphony Orchestra and the Collegium Musicum of Lucerne.
1981 to 1983 Permanent full-time member of the Elizabethan Melbourne Orchestra (now Orchestra Victoria). This involved providing orchestral accompaniment to the Australian Ballet, the Australian Opera and the Victoria State Opera as well as some purely orchestral concerts.
